We are a family campground situated on the banks of Nova Scotia’s largest river, the beautiful Shubenacadie.
The Shubie experiences the highest recorded tides in the world, and is famous for massive tidal bores. Bald Eagles nest along the river and sightings are very common. Our look off provides a spectacular view of both Eagles and the tidal bore.
Day passes are also available.
Book early to reserve your own piece of wilderness!
We welcome small and large groups and recommend booking your outing well in advance to avoid disappointment. Reserve by phone or contact us by email.
We have 218 sites starting at $27 Canadian funds.
All long weekends must be a 3 night booking, no exceptions.
Our 2015 season runs from May 15th to Sept. 30th.
Day passes are also available. Enjoy full use of our facilities. Take a swim, enjoy a nature hike along the river,
watch for the tidal bore or scout out some Bald Eagles.
A great way to spend the day!
Please note: We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations.
Experience the excitement and adventure of rafting the Shubenacadie River… Nova Scotia’s largest river. Raft roller coaster tidal rapids reaching heights of up to 16 or more depending on river conditions. Experience the rare phenomenon of a Tidal Bore. The bore represents the lead wave of the incoming tide into the river.
